Dzert, VIC

About the Business

Founded by dynamic duo John and Marie, Dzert is a refined pastry cafe in the bright beachy suburb of Sandringham, Melbourne. John and Marie’s culinary journey is as fascinating as the delectable treats they create. Getting their start in wholesale cakes, the challenges presented by the pandemic meant shifting gears for the pair. The couple transformed a run-down space into the enchanting Dzert café, driven by a shared passion for pastry.

Drawing inspiration from European aesthetics, their goal was to create a luxurious experience for customers, presenting their treats in the most elegant and mouth-watering way. Made using only the freshest and finest seasonal ingredients, their desserts are made in-house and required durable and reliable displays to keep up with the demand of their busy shop.

Challenge

John and Marie were faced with transforming a rundown space. They decided to completely knock down the existing commercial kitchen and redesign it from scratch to best suit their needs. To display their large selection of delectable treats, they required multiple refrigeration units that would function well but also meet their standards for an elegant aesthetic.

Solution

John and Marie connected with Carlyle Engineering to find units that would fit perfectly into their newly renovated space, at a competitive price without compromising quality.

Carlyle Engineering reached out to Bromic and were supplied with:

Four FD4T1200C-NR cake displays to house desserts and savoury items. The 4-tier shelving within each display gave them adequate room to comfortably store a variety of different sized treats such as large cakes, slices, sandwiches and rolls.

Dzert strategically arranged their four displays in an L shape, forming a captivating focal point for customers entering the café. Enhanced by powerful LED lighting, this configuration draws customers towards the tempting treats.

Choosing top-notch, reliable Bromic appliances allowed John and Marie to focus on what they do best, delivering delightful (and delicious) experiences to their customers in a luxurious atmosphere.

We wanted our fridges to look pristine. The cake displays were the best choice as they look built in to the space which draws people in. In terms of performance, they have proven to be good.
